James Douglas Ferguson, age 68, died Saturday, June 09, 2018, at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Columbus. Services will be held Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Memorial Gunter Peel Chapel with Rev. Mike Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Egger Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Mr. Ferguson was born on Friday, December 16, 1949, in Reform, AL, to the late Willlie Marvin and Nancy Jane Swedenburg Ferguson, Sr. He was member of New Salem Baptist Church in Reform, AL and a retired tow truck driver. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Irene Webb; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, William Marvin (Bill) and Allie Faye Wood; and three nephews. Survivors include his wife, Cyndi Ferguson, Columbus, MS; sons, Christopher Douglas Ferguson (Debbie), Ethelsville, AL and James Chadwick Ferguson (Rhonda), Colin, AL; sisters, Margie Ridgeway, Kathleen Black, Christine Bailey, Dyanne Parsons (Billy), Elaine Thomas (James), Leila Morgan (Bob) and Janice Taylor (Bob); brothers, John T. Ferguson (Barbara), Willie Gene Ferguson (Joyce), Curtis L. Ferguson (Joyce) and Marvin Ferguson; the mother of his children, Patricia Richardson; grandchildren, Courtney, Paige, MaKayla, Braxton Chris, Josh, Miranda, Ashley, Lauren, James, Stephen, Mallory and Logan; great grandchildren, Atayna, Leland, Adalynn and Kegan. Serving as pallbearers will be his grandsons. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be the staff of Waters Truck & Tractor and the staff of Bobís Paint & Auto.
