Tennie B. Collins, age 95, died Monday, October 8, 2018, at her residence in Hamilton. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 11, 2018, in the Tisdale-Lann Memorial Chapel in Aberdeen with Bro. George Collins and Bro. Rodger Collins officiating. Burial will be in Ross Cemetery in Hamilton. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen. She was born July 14, 1923, to William Thad Winders and Mary Louise Honeycutt Winders in Hamilton. She was a life long resident of Hamilton, where she was a member of Hamilton Presbyterian Church and retired as owner of The Grass Shop. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Minnie Lou Savage and Ruby Jewel Boyd; seven brothers, Bryant, Woodrow, Noah, Arthur, Carl, LeRoy and Erby Winders. Survivors include her husband of seventy three years, Anderson “A.B.” Collins of Hamilton, MS; one daughter, Margaret Adkins (Charles) of Columbus, MS; one sister-in-law, Betty Swanzy of Columbus, MS; a number of nieces and nephews on both the Winders and Collins families. Pallbearers are Randy Boyd, Charles Wayne Winders, Mike Savage, Charles Stanford, Tommy Clegg and John Wesley Imel.
