STARKVILLE -- The No. 5 Florida softball team used a 6-2 victory in Game 2 and a 3-0 win in Game 3 to sweep their Southeastern Conference series from No. 19 Mississippi State.

STARKVILLE -- Elijah MacNamee bounced as the final out was recorded. With the fans a few feet behind him in right field, MacNamee screamed as he backed up in the direction of his fellow outfielders. They met midair in a celebration that followed with an extra slapping of hands with center fielder Jake Mangum. The intensity on MacNamee's face began to fade to a smile weeks in the making.

OXFORD -- The No. 7 Ole Miss baseball team swept No. 24 Georgia 8-4 and 5-2 Saturday in a doubleheader at Swayze Field. In Game 1, former New Hope High School standout Will Golsan had a hit and two RBIs. Grae Kessinger and Ryan Olenek had two hits.
